Meet our Artistic Team
Kate began her career performing shows at the Boston Center for the Arts and headlining around Boston, performing at The Top of the Hub and Sculler’s Jazz Club. She even ventured down to New York where she sang at the Waldorf Astoria and enjoyed scatting across the stage of Carnegie Hall. While Kate has spent most of her career in the ministry of music, she is a lyric soprano, an artist who thrives on collaboration and the creative spirit. She holds a BA and an MAT from Boston College, as well as an MSM from Boston University and she worked for many years as the Director of Liturgical Arts at Boston College. A lover of all the arts, Kate has just finished her second YA novel and is querying her first for publication. (Any literary agents should meet her in the lobby after the show!) In June, Kate will be honored at the State House as one of Massachusetts’ “Unsung Heroines” for her work with Sound & Spirit. In October, she will be honored at a dinner in her hometown as the 2016 recipient of the “Sports Achievement Award”. Kate lives in Natick with her husband, Steve, the Bass section leader, and the four children they adore, two of whom are performing on the stage, and two of whom are ushering.
